DEMAND PAGING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EMBEDDED SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demand paging device and a method for an embedded system.

SOLUTION: This demand paging device for an embedded system is provided with: a non-volatile storage device for storing a code and data as the object of demand paging; a physical memory for reading and processing information relating to a requested page from a non-volatile storage device; a demand paging window as a part of an address space to which an application program stored in the non-volatile storage device refers for generating the fault of a page for demand paging; and a demand paging manager who processes the fault generated in the demand paging window. Thus, it is possible for even a system using an operation system which does not assist the demand paging or a system which does not use the operation system to easily use a demand paging technology.
