<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcapsule low in toxicity and reduced in the swelling of its film, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In manufacturing the microcapsule having a protein film using a complex coacervation method, the protein film is formed of water-soluble protein with an equal ion point of 6.0-9.0 and, after a coacervation film is formed, the protein film is cured (crosslinked or modified) after pH is raised.
