PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device which can surely acquire a targeted cam characteristic even if the width of the cam surface is set large when forming one cam surfaces of a pressing assist cam or a back torque limiter cam along a peripheral edge of a clutch member. SOLUTION: A power transmission device is equipped with a clutch housing 2, a plurality of driving side clutch plates 6, a plurality of driven side clutch plates 7 capable of being pressed to or separated from the driving side clutch plates 6, a substantially cylindrical clutch member 4, the pressing member 5, and a pressing assist cam or back torque limiter cam, wherein one cam surfaces 11a, 11b of the pressing assist cam or back torque limiter cam are extended along the peripheral edge of a clutch member 4 and a crowning is formed in the extended direction or width direction.
