PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grid spacer of low pressure loss in a nuclear fuel assembly to be loaded in the core of a nuclear reactor using liquid metal as a coolant. SOLUTION: The nuclear fuel assembly comprises a plurality of grids where waveform elements and connection plates for storing and holding a plurality of fuel pins at a constant interval in a wrapper tube are fixed to a grid frame, an entrance nozzle, and a handling head. In the nuclear fuel assembly of a small nuclear reactor using the coolant such as liquid metal, a plurality of stages of waveform grids are constituted so as to reduce the pressure loss especially when the P/D (P: fuel pin pitch and D: fuel pin outer diameter) in a fuel pin bundle of triangular pitch array is smaller than 1.1.
