PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise and increase strength of a gearing device by improving the contact ratio of teeth between a spur gear and a face gear. SOLUTION: This gearing device comprises the spur gear G<SB>1</SB>having a plurality of teeth formed in the outer peripheral surface parallel with the axis O<SB>1</SB>and the face gear G<SB>2</SB>having a plurality of teeth meshed with the teeth of the spur gear G<SB>1</SB>formed along the edge of the disk. A rotating force is transmitted between two shafts crossing perpendicular to each other by the meshing of the teeth of these both gears. The teeth of the spur gear G<SB>1</SB>are classified into two tooth rows S<SB>1</SB>, S<SB>2</SB>within the toot width. The tooth rows S<SB>1</SB>, S<SB>2</SB>adjacent to each other are so formed to be deviated by the half of the pitch in the circumferential direction at the boundary part. The teeth of the spur gear G<SB>1</SB>are classified into two tooth rows S<SB>1</SB>, S<SB>2</SB>within the toot width. The teeth of the spur gear G<SB>2</SB>are classified into two tooth rows S<SB>3</SB>, S<SB>4</SB>within the toot width. The tooth rows S<SB>3</SB>, S<SB>4</SB>adjacent to each other are so formed to be deviated by the half pitch equal to the deviated pitch of the spur gear G1 in the circumferential direction at the boundary part.
