PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the operations for mounting and demounting an embossing roll. SOLUTION: In an embossing apparatus provided with an embossing roll 1 and 2 and a frame for supporting them, the frame is constructed by a fixed frame 12a and a movable frame 12b mounted to be transferred to the fixed frame 12a which is constructed such as the frame is released by transfer of the movable frame 12b, the embossing roll 1 and 2 are taken outside of the apparatus from mounted positions in the frame by the part released is by using the released part as a pass way 18 or the embossing roll 1 and 2 are brought from the outside of the apparatus and mounted to the mounting positions.
