PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

A plasma display panel is provided with a front panel (1) and a back panel (2). The front panel is provided with a plurality of rows of display electrodes composed of scanning electrodes and sustaining electrodes which face each other by forming a discharge gap on a front substrate. In the back panel, a back substrate arranged to face the front substrate is provided with barrier ribs for partitioning the discharge space between the back substrate and the front panel, data electrodes (10) are formed by having them intersect with the display electrodes between the barrier ribs, and phosphor layers are arranged between the barrier ribs. The back panel (2) forms the barrier ribs by being divided into a plurality of areas in a direction parallel to the data electrodes (10), alignment marks (2a) are formed outside the display area of a boundary portion of the area of the back panel (2) to be divided, and an insulator layer (9) covering the data electrodes (10) is provided with a notched portion (9a) for exposing the alignment marks (2a).
