<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle headlamp capable of increasing light-emitting area of the whole lamp and improving visibility from the front and the side directions by realizing irradiation to the side direction of the vehicle in addition to the front direction of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle headlamp 1 is provided with a projection lens 16 arranged on an optical axis Ax extending in front and rear direction of vehicle, a light source 12a arranged at the back of a rear side focus F of the projection lens 16, and a reflector 14 to reflect the direct light from the light source 12a frontward along the optical axis Ax. An additional lens body 30 to deflect and emit the light from the light source 12a frontward of the vehicle is arranged along near the outer circumference of the projection lens 16, and grooves 33 having a side face to emit a part of the incident light to at least vehicle side part are formed on the surface of the additional lens body 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
