PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic solution capable of securing a reliability of an electrolytic capacitor by steadily suppressing a hydration reaction between an aluminum electrode and a moisture even though a low specific resistance is provided by blending the water. SOLUTION: The electrolytic solution of the electrolytic capacitor with the water blended by 30 to 80 wt.% comprises an organic carboxylic acid or its salt blended with 0.1 to 1.5 wt.% of glycerophosphoric acid expressed by the formula. Even though a large amount of water is blended, the hydration reaction between the aluminum electrode and the moisture can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
