PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building and a construction method of the building promoting energy saving by making it difficult for heat from the outside to intrude into a house, building, or the like to suppress the temperature rise of an indoor space to thereby cut down air-conditioning expenses. SOLUTION: The building 1 is provided with erected members such as glass windows and an external wall material erected at a boundary part with an outdoor space, at the side part of the indoor space, and roofing members of a roof, the top of the building, and the like provided at a boundary part with the outdoor space above, in the indoor space. At least a part of the erected member and the surface of the roofing member are provided with an infrared reflecting absorber which reflects infrared light. Alternatively, the infrared reflecting absorber is applied to the front and rear faces of the external wall material, the roof panel, and the like, and in this state, the external wall material, the roof panel, and the like are mounted to a structure of the building 1.
