PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the breaking of a slab on the upper story side of a construction story by constructing effective reinforcing beams even in a narrow site in the aseismatic reinforcement of an existing building. SOLUTION: A footing 3A with a foundation pile 2A below, a footing 3B with a foundation pile 2B, a footing 3C with a foundation pile 2C, and a footing 3D with a foundation pile 2D are connected by underground beams 4-7 to construct the existing building 1. Intermediate parts 4a, 5a of the underground beams 4, 5 to be reinforced are exposed. The ground is excavated corresponding to the position of a reinforcing beam 15 planned to be constructed, to form a recess 11, and reinforcing piles 13, 13 are constructed. Required reinforcements are arranged in the recess 11, and concrete is placed therein. When solidified, the reinforcing beam 15 with a beam depth H<SB>1</SB>and a width D<SB>1</SB>is constructed, and a reinforcing structure 20 with the reinforcing beam 15, the existing underground beams 4, 5 and the reinforcing piles 13, 13 integrally joined is constructed.
