PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer filler which has crystallinity equivalent to those of highly crystalline polymer whiskers and has such a shape as being easily kneaded with other resins. SOLUTION: This method for producing the powder comprising polyester fiber aggregates is characterized by adding a specific hydroxy aromatic carboxylic acid compound to a solvent having a boiling point of≥270°C, not or slightly dissolving the obtained polyester to give a dissolved compound or oligomer concentration of 10 to 25 g/100 ml converted into the polyester, and thermally polymerizing and crystallizing the produced polyester.
