PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of hollow fiber membranes which early grasps a considerable variation in membrane thickness. SOLUTION: An image of a hollow fiber membrane, in which a bright part through which light passes and a dark part whose light transmission rate is 5% lower than the bright part exist, or an image of its precursor 13 is picked up with an image pickup means 12 while making the hollow fiber membrane or its precursor 13 pass between a light source 11 and the image pickup means 12 to measure the thickness of the hollow fiber membrane or its precursor 13 in line to manufacture the hollow fiber membrane.
