To conduct good observation, an organ to be observed such as the stomach is sufficiently extended and dilated to ensure a sufficiently broad visual field. Into the stomach (3) of a subject (2), a first liquid (7) and a second liquid (8), which has a lower specific gravity than the liquid (7) and is immiscible with the liquid (7), are introduced together with a capsule type endoscope (4) which has an intermediate specific gravity between the first liquid (7) and the second liquid (8). Thus, the capsule type endoscope (4) can be stably floated on the boundary face (12) between the first liquid (7) and the second liquid (8), compared with the case of using the boundary face between a single liquid and the atmosphere. By introducing the second liquid (8) in addition to the first liquid (7), moreover, a sufficiently broad visual field can be ensured in the stomach (3), which has been sufficiently extended and dilated above the boundary face (12) as desired, thereby enabling good observation.
