METHOD FOR SELECTING A SYNCHRONISATION SIGNAL (CVBS) IN A DEVICE TRANSMITTING VIDEO SIGNALS IN SEVERAL FORMATS

The invention relates to a method for selecting a synchronisation signal (CVBS) origin for synchronising a video signal. The inventive method consists in producing video signals by a device transmitting at least first and second video signal groups each of which is capable of producing the same image from first and second generation means, in providing the first and second video signal groups with the same synchronisation signal (CVBS), in selecting by a user a first state or in generating the synchronisation signal (CVBS) by a group of digital-to-analogue converters which generate the first video signal group or a second state in which the synchronisation signal (CVBS) is generated by a group of digital-to-analogue converters generating the second video signal group. A device provided with a switcher for carrying out said method is also disclosed.
