IMAGING OF D2HIGH RECEPTORS USING RADIOLABELLED (-)- QUINPIROLE AND ANALOGS THEREOF

This application describes quinpirole derivatives of formula I: wherein R<SUP>1</SUP> is selected from straight or branched C<SUB>1-6</SUB> alkyl in which either (a) one of the hydrogen atoms is replaced with a F or <SUP>18</SUP>F or (b) one of the carbon atoms is replaced with <SUP>11</SUP>C. The <SUP>11</SUP>C-(-)quinpirole and<SUP>18</SUP>F-(-)quinpirole derivatives and compositions thereof are used for labelling dopamine D2<SUP>High</SUP> receptors. These compounds and compositions are also useful in treating dopamine- related disorders in a subject in need thereof.
