<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new useful NF-κB activation inhibitor; and to provide a composition useful for mitigating various disease symptoms exemplified by inflammation, and preventing and ameliorating cutaneous symptoms accompanied with photoaging. <P>SOLUTION: Various forms of preparations exemplified by an external preparation composition, a medicinal composition, a quasi drug composition and the like are provided by formulating an extract of one or more kinds of plants selected from the group consisting of Bellis perennis of the genus Bellis of Asteraceae, Artemisia dracunculus L. of the genus Artemisia of Asteraceae, Gnaphalium uliginosum L. of the genus Gnaphalium of Asteraceae, Centaurea cyanus L. of the genus Centaurea of Asteraceae, and Centaurium erythraea R<SB>AFN</SB>of the genus Centaurium of Gentianaceae, having NF-κB activation-inhibiting effects, because the extract is expected to have not only the effects for preventing and ameliorating various kinds of diseases accompanying the inflammation, and function reduction, but also effects for preventing and ameliorating various kinds of symptoms accompanied with the photoaging of the skin, e.g. pigmentation, wrinkles and flabbiness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
