<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for a display unit, the optical quality level of which is so excellent that a flicker is not generated and to provide a method for manufacturing the film for the display unit. <P>SOLUTION: The film for the display unit is a film formed by a solution film-forming method. When thickness data are sampled from the film at intervals of 0.25 mm over a section of 300 mm, the thickness variation in an optional section of 5 mm is ≤0.5 μm and a phase difference Rth of the thickness direction is ≤10 nm. The method for manufacturing the film for the display unit comprises the steps of: dissolving a polymer (A) in a solvent (B) to prepare a polymer solution (C); and forming the film from the polymer solution by the solution film-forming method. The viscosity of the polymer solution (C) at 25°C is 7-600 Pa-s and the boiling point of the solvent (B) is 30-80°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
