<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron set which has small resistance received from a lawn surface, then, can be smoothly swung through for all irons from a small number iron to large number iron. <P>SOLUTION: The iron set is composed of a plurality of iron golf clubs in which the loft angle of a head becomes larger as the number gets bigger. The sole surface of the head has a front sole surface 3 on the front side and a rear sole surface 4 following the front sole surface, whose bounce angle is smaller than that of the front sole surface, and the width L<SB>2</SB>in the face cross direction of the rear sole surface is equal to or more than the width L<SB>1</SB>in the face cross direction of the front sole surface. In the iron set, the width L<SB>1</SB>is 5 to 12 mm in any of the clubs, and the bounce angleθ<SB>1</SB>of the front sole surface of the number n (n is an integer) club is equal to or larger than the bounce angleθ<SB>1</SB>of the front sole surface of the number (n-1) club and is larger than the bounce angleθ<SB>1</SB>of the front sole surface of the number (n-2) club. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
