PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yellow toner for electrostatic image development giving high print density, having a sharp particle size distribution, and excellent in lasting printing property, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The yellow toner for electrostatic image development comprises colored resin particles comprising a binder resin and a yellow colorant, wherein the yellow colorant consists of a yellow pigment (A) of one or more structures, wherein pH of an aqueous suspension of the pigment measured by a boiling method stipulated by an item of pH meters of JIS K5101 is≥6, and a yellow pigment (B) of one or more structures, wherein pH of an aqueous suspension of the pigment measured by the boiling method is <6. The pH difference between the yellow pigment (A) and the yellow pigment (B) ([pH of aqueous suspension of yellow pigment (A)]-[pH of aqueous suspension of yellow pigment (B)]) is≥0.5.
