PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change control content of an apparatus connected to a terminal without changing control software of the terminal at all in a system where data are received from a server or another terminal on a network and the apparatus connected to the present terminal is controlled on the basis of these data. SOLUTION: Browsing software 15 is operated at an operating terminal 1 on the Internet 7 to access a server 8 or the like of program data on the Internet 7. Data from the server 8 or the like of the program data are then downloaded and displayed on a screen of a display and this displayed picture is operated by a keyboard 11 or a mouse 12.
