A power tool 101 comprises a housing 103, which houses a motor, and an internal mechanism driven by the motor. A tool bit 119 is driven by the internal mechanism to perform an operation (eg hammer drilling). A vibration reducer 151 is provided that includes a weight 155 and an elastic element, such as springs 157, disposed between the weight and housing. The weight reciprocates in the longitudinal direction of the tool bit against a biasing force of the elastic element. Preferably, the vibration reducer is located within an internal space defined between an upper region of the housing and an upper region of an inner housing 109 that houses the internal mechanism. Alternatively, various other vibration reducers 213, 223, 233, (243, fig 6) (253, fig 7), 263, 273 may be provided. The springs may be disposed between projections (159, fig 3) provided on the weight and a vibration reducer body 153. |
