<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the freeze of a brake actuating force transmitting system and to surely release the generated freeze in an electrically-operated parking brake device. SOLUTION: In this electrically-operated parking brake device, the brake actuating force transmitting system is driven in one direction by brake actuating force generated by an electric motor to actuate a wheel brake, and the brake actuating force is held by an electromagnetic brake when the electric motor is stopped. The presence or absence of the freeze of the brake actuating force transmitting system is determined on the basis of the moving amount of the brake actuating force transmitting system for a predetermined time from the opening of the electromagnetic brake during the actuation of the electrically- operated parking brake device (step S7). When the freeze occurs, the electric motor is driven in one direction and the brake actuating force transmitting system is further pulled, whereby the ice attached to the brake actuating force transmitting system is crushed for the freeze (step 11).</p> |
