<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate path confirmation of images and to avoid the complicated transition of equipment by setting path information, performing transmission through a telephone line at the time of judging that an opposite party is a telephone number, transmitting image data by an electronic mail form when deciding that it is an electronic mail address and performing facsimile transmission at deciding that the opposite party is a telephone number. SOLUTION: Path information is developed as images matched with the horizontal width and resolution of received images and the images are stored in a RAM 3, while being compressed in a compression/expansion part 8. Then, the image of the path information stored in the RAM 3 and reception image data, for which the image part of the path information is read-skipped are combined, a decided result in a path information setting part 12 is checked and the compressed image data of the RAM 3 are facsimile-transmitted to a transmission destination corresponding to a facsimile procedure by a fax modem part 11, when the transmission destination is a telephone number. Also, when the transmission destination is the electronic mail address, an image file is generated from the compressed data of the RAM 3 in a format conversion part 4.</p> |
