The HF screened door, for microwave ovens, consists of a solid core and a plastic material forming the truncated cone around this core. A metal foil is deposited onto or glued to the outer surface of this cone, i.e. to the door's surface facing towards the over. This foil is flexible enough to make electrical contact with the oven walls when the door is closed and acts as an HF screen. The distance between the door's inner and outer walls is made equal to lamda/4. Grooves in the corners of the door serve as ventilation. |
