[Also in Divisions C3 and C5] Wrapping materials such as papers are provided with heat sealable coatings by coating with petroleum wax compositions comprising 10 to 50 weight per cent of a wax-soluble ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer having a number average molecular weight of 3000 to 15000, a vinyl acetate content of 15 to 34 weight per cent and a specific viscosity of 0.28 to 0.9 as a 1 per cent toluene solution at 125‹F. The wax may be a paraffin or microcrystalline wax or mixture thereof, and the compositions may be applied by curtain coating. |
