Laser ray transmitting colored thermoplastic resin composition and method of laser welding

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing a laser beam-welding, without causing the discoloration of color tone of a resin member by a heat treatment process in a preceding stage for performing the laser beam-welding on a colored thermoplastic synthetic resin member and also capable of performing the laser beam-welding in a state of substantially without causing the sublimation of a pigment.

SOLUTION: This laser beam transmittable colored thermoplastic resin composition contains an anthrapyridone-based acid dyestuff expressed by formula (1). The method for laser-welding is provided by irradiating the laser beam so as to transmit through the laser beam transmittable material and to be absorbed by a laser beam-absorbing material in a state of making the laser beam transmittable material consisting of the laser beam transmittable colored thermoplastic resin composition in contact with the laser beam-absorbing material.
