A scanner is provided to realize a high quality scanning image by restricting moving of a document during carry, as the document is carried in a straight line when the document enters a guide path from the first carrier or enters the second carrier from the guide path. The first carrier(121) carries the document(P) to a scanning unit side. The second carrier(122) discharges the document passing a scanning unit(110). The guide path(123) guides carrying the document between the first and second carrier. The first and second carrier includes a carrying roller(121a,122a) and a carrying belt(121b,122b) operated by contacting with the carrying roller. The carrying belt is arranged to input the document to the guide path from the first carrier in the straight line and input the document to the second carrier from the guide path. The first and second carrying belt is rotated by receiving driving power from the first and second carrying roller. |
