An image forming apparatus is provided to buffer a raising speed of a knockup plate and offer smooth paper feeding quality. A paper feeding cassette(100) includes a knockup plate(120), an elastic member(130), and a buffering guide part. The knockup plate(120) loads papers. The elastic member(130) is formed between a bottom surface of the paper feeding cassette(100) and the knockup plate(120). When a printing signal is received, the elastic member(130) provides elastic force to raise the knockup plate(120) to a pickup roller side. The buffering guide part has a guide shaft(140) for guiding the knockup plate(120) to a pickup roller when the knockup plate(120) is raised. The buffering guide part buffers a raising speed of the knockup plate(120).
