A mobile communication terminal with a white noise generator for a sound sleep and a method therefor are provided to include the white noise generator on one side of the terminal, so as to induce a user's sound sleep by white noise generated from the white noise generator. A controller controls generation and cancellation of white noise as a white noise generation menu item of menu items is selected by a key input unit(7). A white noise generator(9) generates white noise for a sound sleep under control of the controller. The white noise generator is disposed at a one-sided edge of a terminal(1).
