A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent loss of wall charges between address and sustain electrodes by enlarging the width of a sustain discharge pulse in a sustain period. A plasma display device includes a plasma display panel having first to third electrodes. The first electrodes are divided into plural groups including first and second groups. At least one sub-field includes plural address and sustain periods corresponding to the respective groups. Cells to be displayed are selected from plural cells of the first and second groups during the address period. During a first sustain period, which is between address periods of the first and second groups, a sustain discharge pulse with a first pulse width(Ts1) is applied and the voltage of the first electrodes is gradually decreased to a first voltage(Vnf). |
