A control air starting system is provided to enable engine drive by controlling a control air using a plunger in a pump drive without a separate system for initial drive. A control air starting system includes a fuel cam shaft(1), a roller(4), a roller guide(3), a thrust shaft(8), and a plunger(9). The fuel cam shaft is rotated by a motor. The roller is rotated with the fuel cam shaft. The roller guide moves upward at a rotary point in which a projection of the cam shaft meets the roller, and moves downward at the end of the projection. The thrust shaft is fixed to the roller guide. The plunger is vertically moved with the shaft, and has a groove functioning as an air extension supply path connecting a control air inlet and a control air outlet. When the control air inlet is connected to the groove of the plunger, the compressed air flows through the control air outlet.
