A method and an apparatus for driving gate lines of an LCD panel are provided to enhance display quality by individually supplying a gate control signal to respective gate ICs. An apparatus for driving gate lines of an LCD panel includes plural gate ICs(Integrated Circuit)(24,26,28) and a timing controller(12). The gate ICs, which are connected to the LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel through LOG(Line On Glass) type signal lines, individually drive plural gate lines of the LCD panel. The timing controller individually supplies a gate control signal to the gate ICs. The timing controller adjusts a driving timing of the gate control signal supplied to the gate ICs according to signal delay amounts by the LOG type signal lines.
