FIELD: bridge construction, particularly reinforced concrete, steel and composite bridge, bridge span structure and overpass repair and reconstruction. ^ SUBSTANCE: method to reconstruct beam bridge including at least two span structures involves disassembling span structures; substituting span structures for earth-filled arch structure and installing beam bridge on truncated piers. Each span structure is substituted for one semi-arch. Central beam bridge supports are left as they are or treated to impart T or V shape thereto or additional central and extreme piers are installed. Piers are truncated from opposite central pier sides. Base of each semi-arch is connected to truncated piers. Semi-arch top is fastened to non-truncated pier. Existent piers are truncated up to erection site level. Other vacant piers of span structure are truncated to provide assemblage and earth-filling operations to repair bridge and road paving. Semi-arches are formed of corrugated metal or reinforced concrete. ^ EFFECT: possibility to reconstruct bridges crossing narrow rivers along with maintaining of water current flow volume within the previous scope, possibility to use existent pile base. ^ 5 cl, 4 dwg |
