A table top, in which a bordering is made as a metal profile with a longitudinal groove, the ends of the boards are fixed inside the longitudinal groove of the bordering with the aid of screw fastening elements, passing through a row of openings, which are arranged along the length of the bordering, that are allowed to draw the ends of the boards into the longitudinal groove of the bordering.
