A ring 13 for supporting wires, re. from a beam 14 is secured to it by clamping arms 1, 2 tightened by the screw thread on the shank 6 of the ring engaging a thread in the hole through the top arm. An intermediate arm 11 provides an abutment for the end of the shank 6. As shown, the thread on the shank is cut by the thread in the arm, but in a modification, (Fig. 7, not shown) the shank is previously threaded. The bight of the clamp may be shaped to carry articles and more than one screw-shank may be used, these being of different sizes (Fig. 12, not shown). |
