A power-efficient locking device for a locker is provided to reduce power consumption by rotating a rotary shaft to move a slide pocket in an unlocking mode and mechanically returning the slide pocket in a locking mode. A locking device includes a body(400) in which a slide pocket(402) receiving a slide cam(401) is moved by a rotary shaft(403). The rotary shaft is driven by a gear box(404) which is rotated by a motor(405). The slide cam received in the slide pocket is returned by a return spring(406). In a normal state, the slide cam protrudes from the body by the return spring. When a power is applied to the motor, the rotary shaft is rotated so that the slide pocket is moved into the body.
