A pail pack for a welding wire is provided to prevent the wound welding wire from being twisted and entangled by pressing the welding wire with an upper press plate to restrict elastic force. In the pail pack for a welding wire, an outer cylinder(10) contains a welding wire wound layer. A lower press plate(40) is shaped like a doughnut and the lower side of the lower press plate contacts to the upside of the welding wire wound layer to press the welding wire wound layer. An upper press plate(30) is shaped like a doughnut, installed at the upper side of the lower press plate to press the lower press plate and the welding wire wound layer, and provided with at least one combining unit curved and perforated. The combining unit comprises an insertion portion formed at the outer peripheral part with penetrating through the outer peripheral surface and recessed inward in the predetermined angle and length; a withdrawal preventing portion connected with the inner end of the insertion unit and formed in the predetermined length in a radial direction; and a guide portion connected with one end of the withdrawal preventing portion and formed in a circumferential direction. Guide bands(50) with the width correspondent to the length of the guide unit are disposed on the inside of the outer cylinder in a longitudinal direction, arranged at regular intervals of angle along the circumferential direction of the outer cylinder, and connected through the guide unit to guide the movement of the upper press plate.
