A method for sealing a hot-water tank and a hot-water tank manufactured by using the same are provided to accurately seal a hot-water tank main body and upper and lower covers by simply attaching a surface seal and curling a main body frame and a cover frame. A hot-water tank main body(140) is formed in a cylindrical shape. A main body frame is formed by bending upper and lower ends of the hot-water tank main body at a right angle. Vertical parts are formed by bending edges of an upper cover and a lower cover(160) vertically downward so that the vertical parts are combined with inner diameters of the upper end and the lower end of the hot-water tank main body. A cover frame is formed by being extended from the vertical parts in an external direction at a right angle, opposite to the main body frame. A surface seal(200) is attached to a boundary part of the vertical parts and the cover frame. The upper and lower covers are combined with the upper end and the lower end of the hot-water tank main body. The main body frame and the cover frame are curled together to be sealed.
