A method and a device for accessing an internet storage are provided to obtain contents and metadata of the contents even if a home storage is powered off by accessing a DHT storage according to a UPnP specification. The first server module(61) receives access control for the storage following the first specification. A converting module(62) converts a format of the access control for the storage following the first rule into the format of the access control for the storage following the second rule. The second server module(63) accesses the storage according to the access control having the converted format. The first rule is a UPnP rule and the second rule is a DHT rule.
