A method for compensating for mismatch of a transmitter by using a non-linear envelop detector is provided to be simply implemented thereby making it possible to implement a high quality transmitter with simple structure. A method for compensating for mismatch of a transmitter by using a non-linear envelop detector comprises the following several steps. A test signal is modulated by using a direct conversion scheme(S430). An envelop of the modulated test signal is detected by using a non-linear envelop detector(S440). Based on the detected envelop, a parameter of a previous compensator is set up for previously compensating for mismatch of the transmitter(S460). In the step(S460), the parameter of the previous compensator is set up while the parameter is coordinated little by little for previously compensating for signal leakage of a local oscillator.
