FIELD: machine engineering, namely equipment used for slitting articles and materials. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes base, carriage with abrasive tool and device for feeding carriage; said device is in the form of chain transmission with drive unit. The last includes electromagnet, ratchet wheel with driving and arresting pawls; rocker; rocker stroke limiting member; elastic members and time relay. Electromagnetic is connected to electric power source through time relay. Body of electromagnet is rigidly joined to base and its armature is jointly connected with one arm of rocker having axis coinciding with that of ratchet wheel. Second arm of rocker is jointly coupled with spring-loaded relative to rocker driving pawl made with possibility of engaging with teeth of ratchet wheel. Member for limiting stroke of rocker is provided with two stops; one stop is rigidly joined with base. Second stop may be, for example in the form of several resting members of different length values. Load limiter of apparatus includes lever having tooth and jointly mounted on carriage with possibility of tooth introducing to gap between rollers of chain; cantilever spring whose one end is jointly coupled with lever and whose other end is jointly coupled with arm of rocker. Limiter is provided with unit for controlling stroke of rocker; said unit is in the form of screw and nut. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, operational reliability, easy usage, simplified design, enlarged manufacturing possibilities of apparatus. ^ 2 cl, 4 dwg |
