EMULATION DEVICE AND WIBRO TERMINAL FOR SUPPORTING IPV6

An emulation apparatus and a WiBro(Wireless Broadband Internet) terminal for supporting IPv6 communication are provided to minimize a waste of resources due to broadcasting or multicasting by processing a neighbor discovery message, which is created so as to be broadcasted or multicasted by a neighbor discovery protocol, by using the network information contained in a MAC management message received from a base station. An emulation apparatus for supporting IPv6 communication comprises an analysis module(41), a response message creation module(43), and a message conversion module(45). The analysis module(41) judges whether collected network information contains information necessary to create a response message corresponding to a neighbor discovery message. If necessary information for response message creation exists, the response message creation module(43) creates the response message and sends it to an IPv6 module. In case information necessary for creation of the response message doesn't exist, however, the message conversion module(45) converts the neighbor discovery message into a unicasting neighbor discovery message and conveys it to a MAC module.
