1329427 Beverage dispenser JET SPRAY COOLER Inc 24 Nov 1970 [23 Dec 19691 55846/70 Heading A4T A beverage dispenser in which water is mixed in fixed proportion with syrup to form e.g. hot chocolate, has a syrup circuit in which a predetermined volume of syrup from tank 30, Fig.2, is drawn past check valve 40 during the down stroke of reciprocating piston 46 driven, via cam 52 controlling the electrical timing circuitry, by motor 54, and passed on the up stroke via pipe 58, syrup reserve cylinder and water control assembly 22, pipe 60, check valve 62 and mixer 20, 136 to the outlet. Water at 102, Fig. 3, passes via solenoid valve 104, assembly 22, water heater 100 with expansion chamber 110 and pipe 112 to the mixer 20 and outlet. One of two different volumes of beverage may be dispensed. By depressing and turning rod 70, Fig.4, to engage rings 74 on flange face 82, the rod end 78 holds piston 80 to one end of a cylinder 64 in assembly 22 whereby the whole volume of syrup displaced by piston 46 passes through the cylinder end to the outlet. The depressed rod 70 also opens valve 124 whereby water from solenoid valve 104 passes through an adjustable flow control 128 and passage 118, 120 to the outlet and also through a flow control 129 at 122 and valve 124 to the passage to give a large amount of water for mixing with the maximum amount of syrup. For a smaller drink, rod 70 is released to free piston 66 which is displaced by the syrup so that a smaller volume is discharged to the outlet, a correspondingly smaller volume of water also being discharged due to valve 124 closing. The syrup remaining in cylinder 64 is withdrawn on the downstroke of piston 46. Tank 30 may contain cleaning solution for the dispenser and hot water only may be dispensed. If tank 30 is filled with cleaning fluid, motor 138 driving mixing impellor 136 will pass the fluid through the mixing chamber. |
