A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to perform stable reset discharge irrespective of the temperature variation of a plasma display panel by preventing generation of excessive wall charges. A plasma display panel(100) includes first to third electrodes. A temperature detector(600) detects the temperature of the plasma display panel. A driver applies a first voltage to the second electrodes during a first interval between sustain and reset periods, decreases the voltage of the first electrodes from a second voltage to a third voltage, supplies a fourth voltage to the second electrodes, increases the voltage of the first electrodes from a fifth voltage to a sixth voltage, applies a seventh voltage to the second electrodes, and decreases the voltage of the first electrodes from an eighth voltage to a ninth voltage during the reset period. A controller(200) controls the difference between the first and third voltages, such that the voltage difference, when the temperature of the plasma display panel is higher than a reference temperature, is set smaller than when the temperature of the plasma display panel is lower than the reference temperature.
