An idler gear mounting device of an engine is provided to support firmly a shaft connected to an idler gear without increasing a thickness of a thrust washer and using a high reinforcing material. A supporting flange(5) is formed at one end of an idler shaft(1). An outside diameter of the idler shaft is larger than an inside diameter of an idler gear(3). A front thrust washer(7) is inserted between the supporting flange and the idler gear. An anti-rotation protrusion(9) is formed at the front thrust washer and is protruded to the supporting flange. A depressed part(11) is formed at a center of the supporting flange. A head part of a combination is inserted into the depressed part. The anti-rotation protrusion is inserted into an anti-rotation groove of the supporting flange. |
