There is provided a clothes drying device where air for drying circulates between a heating radiator equipped with a heat pump device and an airflow channel equipped with a heat exhausting means to perform clothes drying. The heat exhausting means emits a part of heat in the airflow channel to the outside. During a period in which the temperature is low at the initial stage of drying, the heat emission from the heat exhausting means is made smaller to speed up the temperature rising of the airflow channel. When the temperature falls within a specified range, the heat exhausting amount and the compressing capacity are adjusted, and the compressor can be prevented from turning overloaded.
