METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANAGING SERVICES PROVIDED BY DEVICES IN HOME NETWORK

A method and an apparatus for managing services of devices in a home network are provided to provide an optimum service to a user by combining services provided by plural devices based on each priority level of substitute services set according to performance of each device in a home network. It is recognized that the first device has failed to provide a service which has been requested by the second device. A substitute service that may substitute the service, among services provided by devices of a home network, is searched. The substitute service is requested from the third device that can provide the substitute service based on the search result.
