The transcalcaneal screw (2) has a threaded end freely crossing an opening of a nail (1) and another end forming a head. An intermediate part is situated between the two ends and includes a threaded portion cooperating with a tapping of the opening of the nail. The head includes a tapered section that limits the insertion of the nail through the opening. The screwing of the threaded portion continues until the tapered portion is encased in an inlet of a funnel.
