The display (300) has a light emitting unit (304) including light emitting diodes (LEDs) (R, G, B) that are electrically connected to a same driving unit (302). The LEDs are connected to voltage sources (VDDr, VDDg, VDDb), where each voltage source supplies a voltage different from that supplied by the other voltage sources. A selection unit (306) selectively connects the LEDs to the voltage sources in a sequential manner using transistors (T3-T5) as switches such as n-type metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) thin film transistors. An independent claim is also included for a method of driving a light emitting display.
